Stefan Hansson is an experienced big band pianist but has now found the pleasure of playing in a small orchestra/group. Stefan's great inspiration is Oscar Peterson. Stefan has a bonafide education in classical piano and is a huge admirer of swing jazz. Stefan also stars in Telia Big Band and Öresound Big Band. Niclas Andersson got his education in the US, but has also been playing for Peter Danemo in Malmö. Niclas teaches drums when not engaged by orchestras. Niclas can play anything from rock n´roll via cover band to jazz. Niclas is frequently hired as a studio musician. Olof Karlén has classical base schooling and has also taken supplementary jazz training for Niels-Henning Örsted Pedersen. Olof's home turf encompasses both dixieland jazz, swing/mainstream and hard bop. Olof can also be heard playing the base in Riverboat Jazzmen and Holmberg's Jazztrio. The
Olof Karlén Trio started of in February 2001 as a jam and combo trio playing at
restaurant Mässingshornet in Kirseberg Malmö. The band has now established
itself as a genuine musical ensemble often working with various guest artists.
